Hands outstretched
for water
that priceless element
of Mother Earth
faces filled
with despair
lips cracked with
thirst
asking for water

putting us in our
place
which needs to be
changed
if humankind
wants to live along side
this magnificent
intricate,
can't-live-without-it
substance called
